It was never in the plan to go to Vegas, but when my sister decided that was where her wedding would be, we booked a two night stay at the Venetian Resort in Las Vegas after our initial night at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino
Here’s what we thought of this rather ginormous hotel, and how we found our stay at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas.

The Venetian Luxury King Suite
As the most basic of the rooms on offer at The Venetian Resort, our King Suite was absolutely huge, especially when compared with our room at the Paris.
The suite was enormous — genuinely bigger than our flat at home! It had a generously sized bedroom, a large lounge area and a huge bathroom, with plenty of room for the two of us to spread out. In fact, it felt almost ridiculous having so much space just for ourselves, although I’m certainly not complaining!
I also loved the furnishings and décor, which gave the suite a genuinely luxurious feel. There was no balcony, but the huge windows offered wonderful views across the surrounding area, including the beautiful pool below. Sadly, we didn’t get the chance to make use of the gorgeous turquoise pool during our stay, which was a shame.
There appeared to be plenty of space around the pool, with lots of spare sun loungers. No sign of the dreaded towel-hogging here, by the looks of it!
We spent very little time in the room, or the hotel, unless navigating our way through, as our short stay in Las Vegas filled with family time, so it was more than comfortable for our final night stay.
The main gripe – a lack of tea and coffee making facilities for the room or rate that we had which necessitated the most ridiculous hike to the downstairs shops.

Eating & Drinking at the Venetian Las Vegas
There is an abundance of food places within the hotel and around Las Vegas. We didn’t actually dine in the Venetian Resort, despite the overwhelming choice of restaurants.
But we did have the best burgers at Wahlburgers (and it might be true that we went more than once….). So if you need a recommendation for food locally, this is ours.
How Much Does The Venetian Resort in Las Vegas Cost?
We stayed at The Venetian Resort in June 2024 and paid around €150 per night for a room only stay in the Venetian Luxury King Suite. We booked fairly last minute, so found it was far cheaper than the Paris Hotel and Casino where we had spent the first night. We moved for a cheaper stay and to experience a second grand hotel.
Prices will obviously vary depending on the room, dates stayed and paid for, and the board basis, so it’s worth checking both the hotel and booking sites before booking.
You can check current prices and availability through the hotel’s official website or compare deals on Booking.com.
Would We Stay at Venetian Resort Las Vegas again?
Probably not.
There was nothing wrong with the hotel, but Las Vegas is not really our bag. It’s unlikely we would return to this part of the world, although never say never. But if we did, this hotel room was roomy, comfortable, clean, and had a great view.
No Coffee making facilities
This. Blows. My. Mind.
I’d consider beverage making facilities a must for a property that advertises itself as luxury. We saw more than a few American guests in the lift with a Nespresso machine. And whilst I’ve certainly done this myself in more basic accommodations closer to home, it’s not the sort of item I expected to cart over from the UK. A morning walk to find coffee this, but within the resort itself wasn’t cheap. MacDonalds was a good option and gave us a morning walk, too.
Lack of a balcony
We like a balcony, and outdoor space when we’re away.
The sheer scale
We much prefer quieter, more intimate hotels. This hotel is as outlandish as where it’s situated! It took the best part of 45 minutes to get from one side to the other. Though I appreciate this is entirely normal for Las Vegas!
Overall, The Venetian Resort Las Vegas is well placed for a trip to Las Vegas and all that it has to offer – it’s just probably not the hotel, or location for us.
